Dr. Ghaith Al-Eyd Presented NSU’s Collaborative Artificial Intelligence Projects in Medical Education

Dr. Ghaith Al-Eyd, Associate Professor of Medical Education at Nova Southeastern University’s Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine, presented Artificial Intelligence in Medical Education: NSU Collaborative Projects at the University of Miami’s Innovations in Medical Education Conference, held March 26–27, 2026, in Coral Gables, Florida. As part of the Florida Highlights session, he showcased NSU’s AI-driven efforts to advance teaching, learning, assessment, and faculty development. His presentation highlighted emerging AI competency frameworks, NSU’s AI-based virtual patient simulations, and regional and national research collaborations. Dr. Al-Eyd also emphasized the impact of NSU’s collaboration with Stanford University through the Clinical Mind AI initiative, which supports multiple ongoing research projects focused on enhancing clinical reasoning and communication skills education.
